Q4 2023 Snapshot: Top Film & Television Apps in Latin America

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Latin American market saw significant activity among the top Film & Television applications on the unified platform. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the trends of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these popular apps.

Netflix experienced fluctuating revenues, starting at $126K and dipping to $104K by the end of the quarter. Downloads showed an upward trend, with a surge from 784K to over 1M in the final week. Weekly active users peaked at over 54M, highlighting the app's strong presence in the region.

Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live, with no recorded revenue, maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 1.3M in late November. The app's weekly active users saw a high of 3.9M, also in November, before settling around 3.3M by the quarter's end.

Disney+ showcased strong revenue figures, starting at $1.07M and reaching $1.41M towards the middle of the quarter before closing at around $1.3M. Downloads for the app were highest in early October at 851K, while active users reached a high of over 10M during the same period.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias saw revenues begin at $364K and hit a peak of $463K in mid-November. Downloads started strong at 831K but saw a decline to 508K by December's end. Weekly active users had a high of 6.9M in mid-October, decreasing slightly to 5.8M by the quarter's close.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies generated consistent revenue, with a peak at $1.45M in early November and ending the quarter at around $1.28M. Downloads showed a notable increase from 479K to 597K, while active users reached a peak of nearly 8M in mid-December.
